Sudden Gifted Self Exercise Movements

Last week I encountered an adult male patient of mine who allegedly having the ability to perform stretches and mobility exercises himself. After watching on his recorded film, I would say those are involuntary, yet structured movements. He is sure that he did not know any of those sequenced movements prior. Neurologist prescripts medicine to stop them while orthopedic surgeon says they are of no harm but good. (probably just to assure him do not panic)

I never thought of Tourette's syndrome, but "structured" chorea because those movements are so organised, consist of neck rotations, shoulder shrugs etc., in sequence, that people may think he is actually doing exercise.

Lately he said he is able to control when to begin and stop the movements.

Just googled to find out the correlation between Sydenham's chorea and streptococcal rheumatic fever, which further convince me that his self exercise "gift" may be related with his earlier fever cough. Wonder if doctor prescripts steroids and antibiotics. Anyway hope he is getting better, not like Cali's progression:

Ah, now I know why she is taking CoQ10 supplement, which is good for heart.

The Band Perry - If I Die Young

If I Die Young by The Band Perry

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

Lord make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my mother
She'll know I'm safe with you when she stands under my colors, oh and
Life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no
Ain't even grey, but she buries her baby

The sharp knife of a short life, well

I've had just enough time

If I die young, bury me in satin

Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

The sharp knife of a short life, oh well

I've had just enough time

And I'll be wearing white when I come into Your Kingdom

I'm as green as the ring on my little cold finger

I've never known the loving of a man
But it sure felt nice when he was holdin' my hand
there's a boy here in town says that he'll love me forever
Who would have thought forever could be severed by

The sharp knife of a short life, oh Well,

I've had just enough time

So put on your best, boys and I'll wear my pearls

What I never did is done

A penny for my thoughts,

Oh no,
I'll sell em' for a dollar
They're worth so much more after I'm a goner
and maybe then you'll hear the words I've been singing
funny, when you're dead how people start listenin'

If I die young, bury me in satin

Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

The ballad of a dove
Go with peace and love
Gather up your tears, keep 'em in your pocket
Save them for a time when you're really gonna need 'em, oh

The sharp knife of a short life, oh well

I've had just enough time

So put on your best, boys and I'll wear my pearls

It sounds like depicting a young girl committing suicide, which is rather common for the neglected ones.
They're even too young before learning how to be persevering when facing with problems.
Choosing to end up their lives is an express way, much easier than fighting against the troubles.
Or they're simply demand for attendance, else they'll do shocking silly thing to distract all adult's focus, and yet, too late by the time, funny, when you're dead how people start listenin'

Furthermore, we should concern more on cases dying so young before they've had experienced their lives, like what depicted in The Lovely Bones (2009)

Companion

I'm longing for a home, yet a home without a true companion is not a home sweet home.

This MV, highly recommended by a friend of mine, tells how intrinsic love could have been given by a life partner.

Freediving & Hearing Impairment

I like swimming, much more than I realised.
Before I was a schoolboy my father & sister taught me to flutter with legs & propel with arms in the deep. There's still an impression which I cross the dark water in my hometown by my own.

Ever since then I become so familiar and comfort with water and, I like diving.
Transparent, silky, sometimes warm like inside a womb, yet much mysterious.
I will not deny the wide & deep blue or dark water leaves me fear of unimaginative possibilities which out of my control.

I'm so tiny in front of the sea, much more than the relationship between mother & child. We derived from the sea, we belong to the sea.
So I started to hold my breath, staying under water, be in an empty mind, perhaps to receive any message from the mother earth.

Few years back I was impressed watching a freediver crossing an underwater cave.
The video of the historic freedive through Dahab's Blue Hole arch
Now I am impressed again with this:

I was thinking how he overcomes deep sea pressure as deep as 95m without putting on any related device. Ear plugs? An experienced swimmer or diver told me never put on ear plugs as the difference in pressure will cause injury to the ear drum.
I tried to dive not more than 6m and I was aware that I can't tolerate the pressure. This depressive 6 like haunting me, looking for ways to dive beyond.

Unfortunately, I googled and found out that diving has somehow affected my hearing, especially in cold water.
Check out Surfer's ear in Wikipedia, and EAEs in PubMed.
Now that I can figure out why I always have to ask others to repeat their speech, which is embarrassing.

However there is no quit for me, and I would like to share more about freediving with the book FREEDIVE!

UPDATE
World record for unassisted freediving is achieved by William Trubridge -101m

I Love HK!

There are a few countries or places that I love for their particular FREE reasons.

For example, I love Singapore for free from messiness (physically & mentally?), Taiwan for it's free-flow creativity (Chaotic politics?), while Hong Kong to me is a place that having both.

Here's what I just came across in FB, a creative MV depicting grass roots people protesting against price rise in HK.

It's entertaining, join them!

Charlie Chaplin Google Doodle

I like to visit Google Search occasionally for doodles for special occasions.

Here's today's special:

Charlie Chaplin's 122nd Birthday

I am fancy with his primitive yet innocent way of acting, which is most of the time, however, leaving us with rather saddish endings.

The Little Nyonya

This Singaporean TV drama suddenly came out my mind.

It's nostalgic, which represents the life of local Peranakan.

Just can't wait to watch the colourful Nyonya blouse waves, like the different cheong-san dress showing in "In The Mood For Love" (花样年华).

Don't know "Baba" (not "Alibaba"), "Nyonya" or "Peranakan"?
More trivia on The Little Nyonya's official website.

You've to install Microsoft Silverlight 2.0 (4MB+) in order to watch the videos.

The Race - An Inspirational Story of Struggling Against Failure

This's inspiring! Thinking of what's "success"? Becoming rich, in the very early stage of life? Is it one's luck? How about if you're not the luckiest one? How about keeping the success after one's death? How about the spirit of fighting against the adversity? This shows how the late bloomers are.

Farewell, Mr. Tan Hooi Song!

As a famous musician, he's also one of the creators of the well-known Chinese art performance - 24 Festival Drums, which let us be proud of.

His life is "like the wind and the sun".

Earth Hour 2008

Just learnt this great movement from one of the ad banner. (so don't mind ads?)

It's such meaningful(darkness inspires?) that immediately I wrote an e-mail to YAB Tan Sri KTK, the chief minister in my current resident city.

Remember 8pm, March 29. Please spread the inspiration.
